This seminar will include a formal child abuse prevention presentation, an open panel discussion, and question and answer period.
OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to recognize common symptoms of abuse during assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Participants will understand the statutory requirements for clinicians (and the general public) in reporting suspected child abuse. Participants will understand clinical and legal implications of failure to report abuse.
AUDIENCE: Individuals interested in learning more about detecting and reporting abuse, and neglect, including but not limited to: Healthcare Professionals, Educational Professionals, Legal Professionals, Childcare Providers, Clergy, and Concerned Community Members
FEES: $10 - Charitable Donation at the Door - All proceeds will be donated to Help Inc. to aid in their mission to eradicate child abuse in our communities.
NASW-Idaho Chapter 2.75 CEU’s & IdahoSTARS training hours for providers
