Our Mission
Our collective mission statement at the College of Technology is:
To provide youth and adults with technical skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for successful performance in a highly effective workplace.
In fulfillment of this mission we provide short-term, non-credit training instruction in occupational areas, which typically require less than a baccalaureate or advanced degree. We specialize in the following types of training:
- Customized training programs for specific businesses
- Economic improvement projects
- Fire service training for first responders
- Open enrollment classes directed at upgrading and retraining for individuals
- Pre-employment, entry level training programs for occupations typically requiring less than 300 hours of instruction and practice
- Productivity improvement projects
- Professional development for people in non-degreed occupational areas
- Related instruction for apprentices
